This project comprises full height precast concert wall panels and was built for document storage to suit Iron Mountain’s requirements. The building includes 18,000m² of warehouse, 535m² of office and 1,000m² of drive through breezeway for the secure document delivery and retrieval. The facility offers storage and protection of valued assets including highly sensitive data, cultural and historical artefacts. It has a capacity for over 2 million record cartons.
The automated storage and retrieval system required a super flat warehouse slab to Fmin75 tolerance. The project also has a number of environmental features, including a 100kW solar photovoltaic system, LED lighting with a lighting control system to manage and minimise power consumption and translucent roof sheeting secured to 10% of the roof area. In addition, rainwater is harvested and reused for landscaping irrigation.
